Max Raphael’s theory of architectural design, 2019

This study and publication on art historian and philosopher Max Raphel (1889-1952) and his statements on architectural design is the first attempt of a coherent presentation and classification of his writings on architecture: of his analysis of ancient Greek- and medieval church architecture, and of his criciticism of the functionalism of the ‘Neues Bauen’ and of the reinforced concrete frame principle.
